After the very successful first Fight Camp event, hosted in the garden of the Matchroom headquarters, we speak to Nathan Thorley, who will be fighting for the Commonwealth Cruiserweight title against the always exciting, Chris Billiam-Smith, in the second of Matchroom’s COVID safe shows!
Darren and Nathan talk all about the successes of the first Fight Camp event, they speak about Nathan’s bronze medal in the Commonwealth games as an amateur 6 years ago and how Thorley got involved in boxing over in Wales as a young lad.
Nathan was a very talented amateur, after 3 initial losses he ended up winning the Welsh Amateur Championships at the age of 10 and won it again in subsequent years and from here he just kept on winning!
He won more and more contests and tournaments, including the British Championships, before being called up to box internationally.
His amateur pedigree and his current record as a professional (14-0) puts him in good stead to face Billiam-Smith this coming weekend.
